Nursing home harm

When a care home lets your family down

You trusted a facility with your mother or father. Now there's a bruise nobody can explain, a bedsore, or a fall the staff calls just one of those things.

Citlali gets the care records, the staffing schedules and the incident reports, and talks with the doctors who saw your parent afterward. She'll tell you plainly what the records show and what a claim could do.

Cases we take

  • Bedsores and pressure injuries

  • Falls and broken bones

  • Medication mistakes

  • Dehydration and weight loss

  • Neglect, abuse and unexplained injuries

Signs worth a call

If someone is in danger right now, call 911 first. Then call us.

  • New bedsores or infections

Pressure injuries usually mean someone wasn't being turned or checked on schedule.

  • Falls that keep happening

One fall can be an accident. A pattern can mean the care plan isn't being followed.

  • Records that don't match

Charts that say your mother ate every meal while she keeps losing weight deserve a closer look.

  • A parent who seems afraid

Fear of one aide, or a sudden change in mood, is worth writing down and telling us about.

Nursing home questions

Will my parent have to move out?

No. Making a claim doesn't force a move, and the facility can't punish your parent for it. If you want a new place, we can talk that through too.

My parent has passed away. Can we still bring a claim?

Often, yes, through the estate or the family. These claims have their own rules and deadlines, so call soon.

The harm happened months ago. Is it too late?

Maybe not. Deadlines depend on the facts and on who runs the facility. Call and we'll check the dates with you.

Something wrong at the care home? Let's look at it together.

Tell us what you've seen. The first call is free and stays between us.

No attorney's fee unless we recover money for you. Your written agreement explains case costs and whether you owe them if there's no recovery.
